A typical roof replacement for a house

Undertaking roof replacement

This aged roof needed replacing. The house owner proposed a project to replace the roof with all new materials, and also although pictures aren't on this page, the exterior was re-rendered and pebbledashed, and new fencing built around the property.

Roof replacement finished

As in all our projects, we manage labour, disposal and access services. On this roof replacement a local scaffolding firm was brought in, as were extra men during the stripping and removal phase.

Upon delivery of building materials we began building the pyramid roof and valley, including a window in the loft, insulation and building insulated floor in the loft. Also new soffits and fascia were fitted and painted, as was the new guttering around the roof. The latter work being done after the exterior of the property was stripped of render.

Other work done on this project after the roof replacement was completed consisted of rendering and pebbledashing the external surfaces, removing rotting fencing and a crumbing brick wall that ran the length of the back garden, and a new fence built. You can see this work here.

Residential Roof Replacements

Roof stripped

This is an example of a typical roof renovation job consisting of stripping the whole roof of tiles, insulation, timber, guttering, soffits and fascias, and rebuilding with all new materials. We've put a floor and window in the loft to make it accessible to the owner of the house.
